AMBASSADOR AUDITORIUM

The Ambassador 's 1262 seat hall is internationally acclaimed as one of the world's most beautiful and acoustically perfect halls. Ambassador's prestigious performing arts program, with more than 100 concerts each season, has included such world-renowned artists as Rostropovich, James Galway, Patrick Stewart, Shirley Jones, Victor Borge, and Chet Atkins. Ambassador's resident chamber orchestra, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, performs regularly. Season is September - June. For information call (626) 304-6161. PASADENA CIVIC AUDITORIUM

300 E. Green Street, Pasadena.

 

The Pasadena Civic Auditorium opened in February of 1932. This stately theatre houses the Pasadena Symphony and The Annual Emmy Awards live telecast. Natalie Coles "Unforgettable" concert for PBS Great Performances series, the Vienna Philharmonic, and Lisa Minnelli are some of the many performances which have graced the Pasadena Civic Auditorium stage. CALIFORNIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY/ BECKMAN & RAMO AUDITORIUMS

Located on Michigan Avenue south of Del Mar Blvd. Pasadena.

 

The Beckman has a capacity for 1,165 patrons. Ramo Auditorium is located at the south end of the Donald E. Baxter Hall of the Humanities and Social Sciences. It has the capacity to seat 409 patrons. Varied programs are presented in these halls including lectures concerts plays, films and dance.

 

Season is October - May.

THE ICE HOUSE

24 N. Mentor Ave. Pasadena.

 

The Ice House is Pasadena's famous comedy and music night spot. Established in 1960, The Ice House celebrates over 30 years of launching such comedic greats as Robin Williams, Steve Martin, David Letterman, and many more. Three-act comedy is performed in an intimate showroom Monday -Thursday nights. Hall of Fame dining is available at "Comics."

PASADENA PLAYHOUSE

The Pasadena Playhouse is the State Theatre of California and a registered historic landmark. It serves as the training ground for Americas theatrical, film, and television talent. Recent Pasadena Playhouse productions have moved on to Broadway and enjoyed successful national tours. The Pasadena Playhouse is recognized worldwide as a dynamic center for exciting entertainment.
